The first webinar for the CII researchers took place on June 4, @3pm Cyprus time. The speaker of this webinar was Dr. Joanne Crawford, an expert in stakeholder engagement from the Institute of Occupational Medicine, Edinburgh, UK.
Content: Stakeholder Engagement is the practice of influencing a variety of
outcomes through consultation, communication, negotiation, compromise, and
relationship building. The aim of this interactive session is to increase
your knowledge in relation to stakeholder engagement starting from the point of
who the stakeholders are in your research project, the different types of
stakeholders and developing an engagement plan throughout a project.
On completion of this session the attendees gained the below:
Understand the different levels of stakeholder
Be aware of the importance of planning stakeholder engagement throughout the project
Understand the risks of using stakeholders
Be aware that stakeholder engagement is the role of all team members not just one person
